Interestingly, the hotel is split between two properties either side of the Chao Praya River, which you can cross on the hotel’s own boat.
In 1985, it was one of two properties – alongside the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong – that formed the Mandarin Oriental group we know and love today. It is known for its luxurious spa – with some treatment rooms complete with hot tubs – plus free exercise classes and tennis courts. The flagship dining space is the two Michelin-starred French restaurant Le Normandie.
Once again, Suvarnabhumi Airport can be reached in around 45 minutes by car.

Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa
Third on our list of fabulous Bangkok hotels for groups is the sprawling Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa. It has 396 rooms and suites to choose from, and is located away from the hubbub in the Thonburi district, nestling the Chao Phraya river.
You can catch a boat to the well-connected Saphan Taksin Skytrain station. What’s more, you can also reach the Royal Palace – Bangkok’s most iconic attraction, dating back to 1782 – by boat in just half an hour!
