China World Hotel
With 584 rooms and suites across 21 floors, the China World Hotel – known for its striking curved facade – opened in 1990, and was last renovated in 2018. Located in the Central Business District, this five star benefits from a salon, pool, spa, tennis courts, squash courts and even a travel agency. Then there’s the Cantonese dishes at Summer Palace Restaurant to try, plus the western fare at Aria.
This group hotel is perched atop the China World Mall, which features worldwide brands and boutiques, while the Forbidden City is only three miles away. It is 30 minutes in the car to get to Beijing Capital International Airport.

W Beijing Chang’an
Next up is a typically stylish member of the W portfolio: the W Beijing Chang’an, which boasts 359 rooms and suites.
Enjoy the pool, the Away Spa with sauna and steam room, the fitness studio and restaurants including the Forbidden W Burger for classic American dare and YEN for Cantonese dishes. It a 20-minute car ride to the airport.

Third up on our list of Beijing group hotels is the China World Summit Wing, with 584 rooms and suites. This five star is perched atop the 81-story China World Tower, Beijing’s tallest building. As such, amazing views are to be expected.
Be sure to check out the club lounge on the 64th floor, plus the 25-metre infinity pool, fitness centre and Chi Spa. Then there’s Grill 79, Peking Duck and Noodle Bar, all offering explosive Asian dishes. Located in the central Business District, the Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square are a short drive away in the car. It is a 27-minute car ride to the airport.

The Peninsula Beijing
With 230 rooms and suites, the The Peninsula Beijing benefitted from a $101 million renovation in 2013. It halved its room count following its facelift, so expect some of the largest rooms in town. The hotel’s located in the Wangfuijing shopping district in central Beijing; other well-known hotels in the district include Waldorf Astoria Beijing, Hilton Beijing Wangfujing and Legendale Hotel Beijing.
Features include a large swimming pool and spa, a gym, an art gallery, bicycles for guests to borrow and a luxury shopping arcade. Cantonese food is served at Huang Ting Chinese, while international dishes are available at Jing. It is a 34-minute car ride to the airport.

Rosewood Beijing
With 282 rooms and suites, last on our list of Beijing group hotels is the opulent Rosewood Beijing in the Chaoyang District.
There’s an indoor swimming pool, a fitness centre plus a spa (Sense) with steam room. Restaurants include Country Kitchen for Northern Chinese dishes and French dining in Bistro B. The hotel is a 28-minute car journey to the airport.
